This Tampa home renovation was a project we absolutely loved completing! Nicknamed Bayshore Beautiful, this lower-level renovation project was a massive success- from innovative design to seamless execution. Completed in Spring 2023, the Bayshore Beautiful (captured by Bos Images) will forever be an example of how our team can transform spaces into something that exceeds all expectations.
The Client's Journey
The remodeling project began with a referral from a past client, leading to an initial conversation about remodeling the lower-level guest bathroom. The client, involved in the commercial construction industry, valued our process, attention to detail, and clear communication. This foundation of trust in our experienced team and mutual respect set the stage for a renovation even better than originally hoped for.
The Tampa Home Renovation Big Idea
During our walkthrough of the house, we noticed the existing kitchen was in a long, narrow space at the rear of the home, integrated with an eat-in area. After discussing ideas with the client, we suggested an unconventional solution: relocating the kitchen to the large dining room area. Although initially surprised (is that even possible?) the client was excited about the new possibilities that would create and thankfully trusted us enough to go for it!
Design Challenges and Solutions
Relocating the kitchen presented significant challenges, including rerouting the HVAC, gas line, and installing make-up air for the hood vent. We constructed a soffit from one end of the garage to the other to make it all work, while our HVAC partner came up with a solution for the make-up air- without compromising on the design.
Standout Features in this Tampa Home Renovation
The whole renovation project came together beautifully, but a few features definitely stand out. The new kitchen is stunning with marble countertops and a large island, living up to the old adage as the heart of the home. The former kitchen space was converted into a formal dining area with custom-built cabinetry and matching windows that the client ended up loving! The laundry room was another standout, featuring new flooring that elevates the entire space.

The client was highly involved in the design process, leveraging her experience in commercial construction and design. She worked closely with Jade Timmerman Interiors to select cabinetry, finishes, furniture, and lighting, ensuring every detail aligned with her vision for a classic and timeless home. Having a client who is just as passionate about the process as we are gives the entire experience a spirit of collaboration we love!
Communication and Trust
The client moved her family out during the remodeling process, giving us full access to the home. Despite being local, she relied on our Buildertrend Software for updates, progress photos, and scheduling. This streamlined communication and kept her informed, creating a seamless process for all of us. Her trust in our vision and process was empowering and helped make the entire project smooth and enjoyable for everyone involved.

Client feedback is such a fun cherry on top of a successful build, and knowing how much she loved the finished product brought our team so much joy! She was particularly excited about the marble countertops, which turned out even better than she had imagined. Her satisfaction and enthusiasm were the ultimate reward for our team's hard work.
